I don’t mind. But what would a New York City newspaper want with a California lawyer?

Um, thank you… (It could have been termed in a less vulgar manner but it’s still a compliment…)

Not exactly accurate, but close enough. Just one thing. If you’re drawing Godot as a dragon… Can I at least be a mythical phoenix?

I’d probably be really disappointed with myself. I didn’t pass law school and the bar exam just to be come a hobo in the future, you know? I answered a similar question before, but these are the jobs I thought about: an artist, a law teacher, and maybe do menial jobs if nothing works out. Someone pointed out that I could work as a detective too, so I guess I should consider that...

Hmm… I think Miles is a cat! He takes a lot of time getting used to the people around him, and he’s a little snarly sometimes. And, um, Larry is… Larry is a dog! He’s really noisy, but he’s also a loyal friend.

What to expect? Well, the California State Bar Exam lasts for 18 hours over a period of 3 days. That’s 9am to 5pm. There are essays, practical exams, and the Multistate Bar Examination (MBE). Aside from constitutional law, criminal law procedure, and other legal subjects, you also have to familiarize yourself with California-specific law. It’s usually heralded as the most...

I would, but I imagine there would be a lot of hassles to go through. It’s not just about the money that I’ll need to go abroad. There’s the country’s government and rules on licensing to think about. In the U.S. alone, a lawyer licensed in California wouldn’t be able to practice in other states without taking a re-examination. For example, if I decide to move...

All witnesses have something to hide, and sometimes they themselves don’t know that. Memory is often unreliable and we lawyers have to sift out what’s really true and what’s probably just hearsay. Yes, I admit that we do tend to exaggerate things, but sometimes it’s necessary. No one will tell you the truth if you’re a wimp. If you don’t take risks,...

Hi, fellows! This week and the next are going to be pretty busy for me. I’ve set deadlines to finish my research drafts for myself (‘cause I’ll surely procrastinate on them if I don’t). I’m going to a cosplay event on Saturday and that’s gonna be a pretty busy day. I’m also really working on the two projects I was talking about last month or so and...

Yeah, I visited her when she was still in prison. She was released a few weeks back, I think. About the experience? It’s a normal thing for a lawyer to go down to the Detention Center to visit inmates. I guess you could say it’s nothing really special, but it depends on who and why you’re visiting.

Like I said before, they’re dark-colored. I don’t see why you would be confused. They’ve always been this way. ((There are two colors for Phoenix’s eyes - blue in the official art and dark brown in-game.))

Of course I love what I’m doing, but it’s not going to be the same for everyone. Have you attended a live trial? I’m pretty sure it’s boring for a layman. I was just worried if the game had a place in the market. But I guess it depends on what case is currently being decided upon. Murder cases tend to be more exciting than land disputes after all.

Nope. First of all, it’s illegal. There are no laws against cannibalism per se, but the act would violate laws against murder and desecration of corpses. Second, we don’t use electrocution in death row cases, so the last person that was electrocuted would probably be just a skeleton now.

Well of course I have other friends aside from Larry and Edgeworth. There’s Maya, Pearls, Iris, Detective Gumshoe, and a lot of other people I’ve met since I started my law career. I-I think you misunderstood when I said I’m forever alone. I meant… that I don’t have a girlfriend. Heh heh… (Not that I need a girlfriend now…)

Well, technically, illness is considered a body’s parasite - a foreign object - and that includes psychological disorders, so I guess you have a point there. Yes, I believe in it ‘cause I’ve seen it a couple of times. How would I react? Seek professional help, of course.

I haven’t really thought about that. Someone did mention, though, that they were reminded of Sherlock Holmes when they see me looking for evidence, so I guess doing detective work isn’t too far off.

Well, you’re supposed to have your things inspected by a guard and go through a metal detector before you enter the courtroom, but I guess they’re not working if Franziska and Jake Marshall can sneak weapons inside. There are bailiffs inside, but you ought to see the way they shiver when Franziska raises her whip… I’m just scared for the police force in this state, you...

Yeah, you have a point there. But, you see, black and white photography became a trend again a few years back. One of those quirks in the art world, if you get my drift. And I think it also depends on what the photographer’s style is. Some of them just prefer the old way of doing it - like using celluloid instead of digital cameras.

I could ask you the same thing. What do you think it means? An artwork’s interpretation depends on who’s looking at it, which implies that its meaning is not universal. My interpretation and your interpretation of a picture can be vastly different. As for what I was thinking while painting it… I dunno. I was just having fun. I don’t even know if it means anything....
